More About Katy

My name is Katy, and after 10 years as a stage manager, I decided to give up spending hours in rooms with lots of people and no daylight to start dog walking.

Dogs bring an incredible amount of joy and love to our lives and I understand the difficulties of balancing work, life, and properly caring for a dog. One of the reasons I left the theatre industry is because my schedule did not allow me to have a pet which needed so much time and attention. I hope that in becoming a dog walker I can help others make sure their dogs get the exercise, socialization and fun they need to stay happy and healthy.  I also find spending time with dogs and outdoors rewarding and grounding.

I grew up with dogs in my family, and at the start of 2026 we are adding a Golden Retriever puppy to our clan. Small and large dogs have been a part of my life for a long time. I understand that different breeds of dogs have different personalities and needs, and that the same goes for individual dogs too.

I will be starting out with two places per walk to reassure you (and myself) I'm not taking on more than I can handle as I gain more experience. I will eventually walk up to 6 dogs at one time in the group walks. In the future, I will offer one place a day for an evening walk which will be along side our dogs, and puppy visits.

If you would like to consider me, I will always start with a meet and greet with you and your dog, free of any charge or obligation to sign up for any walks. Please enquire through the form below or email katy@k9-walks.co.uk
